The Institute of Applied Mathematics has awarded the inaugural Dr. Deepak Kaura Award in the Mathematics of Medicine to Maryam Tayyab, a graduate student in the UBC School of Biomedical Engineering, in recognition of her work on computational methods in brain imaging.
