We welcome Professor Rajeev Jaiman as a new IAM faculty affiliate. Rajeev is an associate professor and NSERC/Seaspan Industrial Research Chair in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UBC. His research interests broadly include multiphysics simulations, fluid-structure interaction, high-performance computing, data-driven modeling and physics-based machine learning. Before coming to UBC, he was an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to joining NUS, Rajeev was the director of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Development at Altair Engineering in Mountain View, California.  He earned his first degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, and received his master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with Computational Science and Engineering option.
