We welcome Professor Christos Thrampoulidis as a new IAM faculty affiliate.
Christos joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) as an assistant professor in January 2021. His research program investigates topics at the intersection of statistical signal processing, machine learning, high-dimensional statistics, and optimization. Before coming to UBC. Christos was an assistant professor in ECE at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to that he spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher in the Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) at MIT.
He received M.Sc. (2012) and Ph.D. (2016) degrees in Electrical Engineering from Caltech, with a minor in Applied and Computational Mathematics. In 2011, he received a Diploma in ECE from the University of Patras, Greece.
