Research Interests: I am strongly interested by the development and the analysis of mathematical models that arise in biology. Currently, I am investigating the dynamics of coupled systems of partial differential equations and ordinary differential equations, a class of systems used to model intercellular communication, quorum sensing phenomena as well as cellular pattern formation. In order to gain biological insights, we use a combination of analytical and numerical techniques coming from dynamical systems theory, asymptotic analysis and classical numerical analysis. Numerical simulations on curved domains are handled with the closest point method, a special type of embedding methods. Lately, I have been interested by the theory of rigourous numerics, which is appropriate to obtain global information about the dynamics. |
