SFU-UBC Applied Mathematics Day 2024

April 18, 2024 1:00 pm SFU Harbour Centre
We are pleased to announce the 2024 UBC-SFU joint workshop in applied mathematics, which will take place April 18. This half-day event will feature three invited speakers and a poster session for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows (see schedule below). Everyone in the applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and scientific computing fields at SFU and UBC is invited to attend.
Our keynote speakers will provide a snapshot of current trends in applied and computational mathematics. This event will serve to find out about the state of the art and also to learn about the new research directions represented by newer colleagues in the region. It is also an excellent networking opportunity for students and postdocs.
