Fourth Annual IAM Retreat 2008

Annual Retreat
April 14, 2008 4:00 pm

Speaker:  Fourteen Speakers

Location:  Minnekhada Lodge, Minnekhada Regional Park

Intended Audience:  Public

The IAM Seminar Retreat 2008 took place on Monday, April 14th, and was organised by Prof. Michael Ward (IAM Director, Dept. of Mathematics), Prof. Dan Coombs (IAM Faculty, Dept. of Mathematics) and Dr. Marek Labecki (IAM Research/IT Manager). Once again, we could not resist the hospitability and the beautiful surroundings of the Minnekhada Lodge, located in the Minnekhada Regional Park. We had a total of 35 participants and 14 excellent-quality talks covering a variety of topics in applied mathematics (see the Retreat Schedule). During the lunch break, most of us took a refreshing walk on the trails of Minnekhada Park, including a visit to its highest point, the High Knoll.
