The life of a few Lab Ratz
It all began in the spring of 1998. An email came out of the Center for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics urging the donation of a few Ratz for some secret research project. Donations came from far and wide, and were all collected at a secret University of British Columbia location. It was here where the experiment began. What experiment was that? You may ask. It as an experiment to take over the Vancouver Ultimate League . Which would be a small step in the over all plan to take over the world!!!
The ratz were trained hard and they played harder, and after a slow start at the bottom of C league, the Lab Ratz slowly started to dominate their competition. After 4 hot a sweaty months running around the fields of Vancouver, the Lab Ratz managed to be a force to be seconded with and others feared. A 16 game winning streak injected fear into all who were to oppose them. This domination last until some children who were a little slow called out in fear and were heard by a few illegal alternates. Shall we say that this was an unspeakable outrage!
Then it was fall.
The fall saw these super Ratz running around in the leaves, playing in the mud and enjoying the rain that poured on there heads. The competition in C still feared and admired the superb abilities of the Ratz. Shall we just say that these few Ratz managed to take over and control all of C3!
Winter came.
Winter saw the Ratz spread far and wide across the city of Vancouver. Because of VUL rules and regulations, the team had to disband and mingle with the other ultimate public. It was in the mud and the rain of a Vancouver winter where these rats waited in anticipation for the sun. Waiting to take over another piece of the VUL in the spring.
Spring 1999 came.
The Ratz were reunited. A few new Ratz were required to replace winter losses. And they were ready to take a piece out of B league. The Ratz ended the season as B3 champs!! Woo Hoo!!! It was a very grueling final match though. Let us tell the world now to check the other teams roster for illegal players.
Fall 1999 came.
Fall found the Lab Ratz playing on Saturday mornings. For some reason they ended up in a division with Yo Yo Ma and the farm accidents to name a few. Let us say we had lots of fun and started losing a few more games. Kudos to the farm accidents for kicking our asses and still giving us a fun game!
Summer of 2000 is coming up fast. Who knows what the summer will bring for the Lab Ratz.
