• KZSU Reviews gives a number of places of interest to check out; each with a brief synopsis.
  
• California is where I grew up and has tons of places to check out.
  
• URouLette allows you to travel randomly.
  
• Cool Site of the Day gives you just that.
  

Local Sites

• John Stockie who is my office mate has a pretty cool home page with tons of places to check out.
  
• Peter Newbury runs the math softball team and does some interesting work.
• Jim Morey is quite an interesting guy and runs the math announcement page.
• The UBC Math page is finally showing some improvement, but of course the IAM is still superior.
• The GSS has its own home page.
• The Coast Mountain Bus Company (formerly, BC Transit) page has changed once again, but you can still find a schedule.
• BC Ferries.
• The UBC Student Service Centre has everything for registration.

Movies

• The Gate has the connections to the San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner. It's also the home of my favourite columnist, Arthur Hoppe who unfortunately is no longer with us. Scott Ostler used to be good as a sports columnist. However, I enjoy Jon Carroll and Rob Morse.
  
• mathNEWS from the University of Waterloo has some fairly entertaining tid bits. Personally, I like the prof quotes.
• Literascape is the home of Duthie Books.
• Wall o' Shame is pretty funny.

Searches

• My roommate Ken says that the best search engines now are Savvy Search and Google. If it can't be found there, then one should take the mighty step of using Dog Pile.
• Jeff Orchard says that Alta Vista is the search engine to use.
• Web Crawler is a fairly good search engine.
  
• HotBot boasts that it has the most.
• Lycos is a great place to search on key words. The results of each search are given a likelihood ranking on how close the match is. However, everyone and their grandmother now uses it.
  
• Yahoo has it all, and it's sorted by subject.
  
• W3 servers does it all geographically.

Sports

• General Coverage
  • The Gate Cybersports features the best the bay area has to offer in the world of sports. You can search for columnists here as well.
    
  • ESPNET Sports Zone took over what used to be Satchel Sports. It should contain all the sports info fit to print.
    
  • Fox Sports is a nice alternative to ESPN.
  • Sports Access is Sports Illustrated on the Web.
    
  • Find out what's happening in sports from the Candians' point of view at TSN.
• Basketball
  • ESPNET Sports Zone NBA contains the complete goings on in the NBA.
    
  • NandoNet NBA is the place to go to for NBA scores and of course it wouldn't be complete without news on the Warriors .
    
• Soccer
  • Soccernet centres on the English leagues.
  • I get to see all the soccer news on TSN's World of Soccer .
• Other info
  • No sports section would be complete without a listing of ultimate links.
  • Find all those NHL stats with USA Today.
  • The Yahoo Sports Page is an excellent place to start looking for other sports information as well as the WWW virtual library sports page .
