MATH 267: Course Webpage (Section 211)
Winter term II 2005/2006
Recent Notices:
- I will be having office hours from 9-11am on the day of the exam (i.e. Friday April 21st), and can be available on Thursday (but email first to arrange a time).
- A list of practice questions for you to try is available here. Ignore Question 10 from Chapter 5 (but you could try it for the trapezoidal rule), and Question 11 from Chapter 6 won't come up but you could try it anyway. The solutions are available here.
- On the sample final there is a question that requires inverse trig. I cannot guarantee that it will not come up on the final so best to learn that if y = sin^(-1) x, then dy/dx = (1-x^2)^(-1/2), and if y = cos^(-1) x, then dy/dx = -(1-x^2)^(-1/2). The solutions to the sample final are available here.
- The final exam is on Friday 21st April at midday. There is important information regarding the exam here. The tutoring center will be open during the exam period. The following timeslots are for Math105 (In MSRC Room #3): April 13, 9-12; April 18, 9-12; April 19, 3-5; April 20, 12-3; April 21, 9-11. I will also have office hours on Tuesday 18th April from 2-4pm and later on in the week if there is enough demand. Or email me to arrange an appointment.
- Solutions to the third midterm can be downloaded here.
