The Numerical Collocation Method for the Solution of the Schrödinger Equation

There are many numerical methods for solving boundary value problems (BVP). One of the simplest examples is the finite difference method. A collocation method based on interpolation is discussed in this presentation. Several choices of interpolating functions are considered and their efficiencies are compared. This method can be applied to other BVPs, including the Sturm-Liouville problem and the Fokker-Planck equation.
